Yellowstone

Earlier this summer I also went on a road trip to Yellowstone. I went with my parents and younger brother. My then boyfriend, Adam came along. We have since broken up......save that for maybe never on my blog.....sorry, too personal.

It was a fun trip. I have gone to Yellowstone for 26 years and I never saw a single bear in the park. I have gone camping to many other places, but this was the first time I had ever seen a bear. And not just one bear, but 4. We saw one black one on the norther most road. Then near the tip of the park we saw a mother grizzly and her yearling. On the way of the park at West Yellowstone we saw a young brown bear across the river. It was very exciting. Adam just laughed at how excited my family and I was.

We also saw lots of bison, elk, wolves, birds, .......tourists. he he he

I only wish people wouldn't be so stupid as to try and get "close" to the animals. They forget that the bison are still wild animals even though a lot of people do come to the park every year. It only takes once for them to turn and charge you. I did get a really neat picture from my car. I love the digit cameras, because you can be several yards away and later you can crop and it looks like you were right next to the animal

This is the old town in norther Yellowstone. We think these are the lodges were the workers and rangers used to stay while they worked in the park. As far was we know the current rangers may still stay there.

To be continued.....
