Hello out there

So I don't think I update my blog as much. To be quite honest I have a hard time thinking of anything to say..........hmmmmmm....

Well the most interesting things are the following:

1. My students want to get a class pet. They were suggesting things like rabbits, dogs, lions, tigers, and bears...oh my. I managed to talk them out of anything like that. So far they are still pulling for a fish. I found my old fishbowl. The one that used to belong to the "old" class fish oh so many years ago. It had a tragic encounter with some water and school cleaner. "Oh poor Urick. I knew him Horatio."

I have put off saying yes or no to the fish idea, because I don't know if I have the heart to kill another fish at school. So we will see how far I can go before the kids wear me down. I almost bought a fish tonight, but I was strong. No fish yet.

2. The fire code inspector came to the school yesterday and ticked off just about the entire school. She was a new employee and very "gun-ho" about doing everything to the absolute letter of the law. Now I don't blame her, if I just got a new job I would want to make sure that I did it right too. There is such a thing as tack and I knew the personalities of the ladies at that school. I might have chosen different words to use when I spoke with them. Oh dear!

Needless to say the pretty blue plastic paper and the stars came off my walls. They are plain once more to the dismay and sadness of the rest of the staff. Personally I wasn't to depressed to take it down. I knew at the begining of the year that it might not be up to code.....but I wanted to put it up anyway.....so I did. :) (naughtly me)

3. It snowed.

4. I drove home and went shopping cuz I got paid. Yeah!

Ok side note....is anyone else depressed about taxes? I wanted to do mine since I got my W2's. I tried one of those online things again. They say that I owe over $500, but they didn't give me a chance to put in my tithing. I finally deleted the thing and decided to find a real person to help me. I don't think I should have to give anymore money to the government to give away to some banks that will fail anyway. Seems like a waste to me.

(Laura has been listening to Glen Beck again. Sometimes his rantings make sense, but I don't know all the facts so I try not to be too swayed.)

Now back to life....

5. ummmmmmm...........I ate a piece of chocolate. (I know riviting stuff isn't it)

Well I suppose I will wait and entertain the masses another time, I am out of idears. Hopefully soon I will have another chapter of my story written. I have to get the guts to do it again. I was a little discouraged about it, but I will try again soon.

Wow, you're alive! Okay, I actually knew that, since I live with you. I think you should get a fish. And call him Mr. Darcy. Then get another fish, a girl fish, and call her Elizabeth. Put them in the same fishbowl and see how many fish you end up with by the end of the year. Maybe you'll have enough for each of your kids to take a couple home! Yay! :)

A fish would be a good idea because if you do kill it they are very replacable. We replaced my nephew's fish four times when it died and he never knew it was a different fish.
